Our staff are exceptional. They are practitioners, teachers and researchers, all here to support you with your studies and help you to achieve outstanding outcomes.

We’ve been awarded Gold by the TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework). We received this for delivering consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for our students. Our teaching is of the highest quality found in the UK.

All of our courses are based on our stunning award-winning campus. It’s a state-of-art creative hub designed for specialists. With a backdrop of head-turning architecture, you’ll be in a community of like-minded makers and thinkers.

Our spaces are divided into villages, boulevards, green space and infrastructure. Our campus also has a real buzz about it. On route to the café, you might pass a film crew, a woman in Elizabethan dress and a DJ. It’s a microcosm of the creative industries.

AUB was voted the highest-ranked modern university in the South West by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018. We’ve also been awarded the top environmental award, EcoCampus Platinum, for our eco-friendly campus.

Collaboration on Every Corner

The best work happens when different disciplines come together. Everyone here is a creator, and you’ll get the chance to collaborate with them. As no subject stands alone, you’ll be able to experience how the industry works and makes links with them too.

Every year we also turn the university into the largest creative agency on the south coast for 24 hours. Sign up and you’ll have the opportunity to work on briefs from some of the most innovative brands today. Past briefs have come from Virgin, Bestival and the RNLI.

Honorary Fellows

Our Honorary Fellows include Edgar Wright and Dame Darcey Bussell DBE. AUB makes the award of Honorary Fellowship to persons who have made a significant contribution to the field of arts, design, media or performance.
