The University of St.Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, was founded as a “Business Academy” in 1898 – in the heyday of St.Gallen embroidery – and offered its first lectures in 1899. The HSG continues to pursue the goal of providing its more than 8,600 students with a practice-oriented education, guided by an integrative view of Management, Economics, Law, Social Sciences and International Affairs.

Data analysis has become a central component of developed economies due to the advance of digitalisation. Hence, over recent years processing and analysing Big Data has become increasingly important. MEcon provides you with the necessary tools to analyse economic policy problems using state-of-the-art methods and to develop successful strategies.
