Admissions Office

For non-EU students residing abroad, the International Student Desk can help with university pre-registration through Embassies, registrations, enrolments and any possible programme changes.

Before pre-enrolling at an Italian Embassy or Consulate, non-EU students residing abroad should check for available places in the programme(s) they are interested in. See Manifesto Degli Studi on our website.

For all students (non-EU, EU and Italian) who possess a qualification obtained outside Italy, the International Student Desk provides information by email and in person (by appointment) and manages qualification equivalence requests by checking the documentation submitted (declarations of value and degree certificates that have been translated and legalised by the Italian Embassy in the country that issued the certificate).

The International Student Desk also accepts and manages requests for the validation of foreign degrees ("equipollenza") during the year from January to April.

OVERVIEW

The Master’s Degree in Comparative European and Non-European Languages and Literatures (LM 37) aims to provide students with a high level of academic education - primarily from a comparative perspective - in the languages and literatures of French, English, Russian, Spanish and German. Moreover, students will have the opportunity to focus on the extra-European variants of these languages and cultures (in the Euro-Mediterranean, Euro-American, and postcolonial areas). The programme is therefore meant to be open to the world, offering an international perspective on education, research, and cultural entrepreneurship.

In this view, starting from the academic year 2017/2018 the programme has considerably enhanced its international profile by providing all teaching in English, except for the specific language and literary modules taught in the relevant languages. Given its international nature, this programme is particularly suitable for non-Italian speaking students. In addition to specific foreign languages and literatures modules, this programme also focuses on various humanistic areas, such as philology, linguistics, literature, and comparative studies....
