The Master of Science in environmental health offers opportunities in epidemiology, occupational ergonomics and safety, and industrial hygiene. This combination of studies makes the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences unique throughout the United States.

The Master of Science in biomedical sciences assisted reproductive technologies specialization is a one-year, non-thesis program that culminates in an internship or research project and prepares students for careers in human and animal embryology as well as professional and graduate school. Students receive in-depth lab training in oocyte collection, in vitro fertilization, cryopreservation, and more. Students are required to complete a research project or internship prior to graduation.

Our Horticulture Graduate Students Graduate study for M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Horticulture is available to qualified students who have an undergraduate degree from accredited institutions in horticulture, or in related plant sciences including botany, crop science, environmental sciences, or professions related to landscape design. Non-plant science degree applicants with substantial experience in related professions may also qualify.

Fields: -Agricultural Economics -Natural Resource and Environmental Economics The Master of Science (M.S.) degree certified by the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics (DARE) is a formal program of study consisting of 30 credit hours including a work of original research (thesis or technical paper). The program is designed as a standard two year M.S. degree, but students who work diligently can finish earlier. Class work is focused on microeconomic applications and quantitative methods, and can typically be completed in approximately three semesters. Most M.S. students in DARE opt to prepare a thesis, which must be defended publicly before a degree is granted.

The Master of Science in clinical sciences offers two options for prospective students in a variety of research areas: Track 1: Those who enroll in the non-thesis clinical option are typically post-D.V.M. students also pursuing residency training programs. Track 2: Students who enroll in the traditional thesis-based research program may not have a D.V.M. and work under the support of a faculty member’s lab.

Our students may work in greenhouse or row crop production systems, on rangelands, on short grass prairies or in alpine meadows.
