The MSc in Science Studies is open to students with a science bachelor’s degree who are seeking a wider perspective on how the natural sciences have developed in their interaction with society and contemporary culture. The program includes the following themes building on the bachelor’s science background – history and philosophy of science; science, technology, and innovation; science and society; and science and communication.

The MSc Education, Children and Youth is an interdisciplinary programme specialising in research, policy and practice relating to children and young people. Set in the context of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the programme explores key aspects of the welfare and well-being of children and young people from a multi-disciplinary perspective.

The MSc Environmental Education is a full-time masters program run by the University of Pretoria. The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences offers postgraduate degree programs at honors, master's and doctoral level. The University of Pretoria is a center of excellence for postgraduate training in the natural, agricultural and mathematical sciences, and produce a significant number of master's- and doctoral graduates each year.
