The MSc in Chemistry is a full-time master’s program run by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Pannonia. The Faculty offers postgraduate degree programs both at master's and doctoral levels.

The aim of the course is to provide advanced training in natural sciences, engineering, business management, and to equip students with the knowledge of recognizing and preventing environmental hazards in different fields. With their professional knowledge they are able to mitigate and eliminate environmental problems and damages. Nevertheless, students learn how to utilize natural resources rationally, develop and operate cleaner technologies. They are capable of neutralizing hazardous waste by acquiring knowledge in the field of nature and land conservation, regional policy and environmental management.

The programme is designed to provide students a thorough knowledge covering all aspects of chemical engineering. Our aim is to deliver courses which meet the requirements of a diverse modern chemical industry and to play an important role in creating a generation of engineers who can function in today’s rapidly changing industrial marketplace. The course is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).

The main objective of the programme is to train professionals who have a broad knowledge across traditional science disciplines and use of tools of scientific research to study and solve environmental issues. Special courses are devoted to developing skills in science communication and facilitating the selection of a thesis topic. Core courses mostly consist of classes in various types of instrumental material analysis, complemented by a summer field course, providing skills that are much sought after in the labour market.

The aim of the program is to issue MSc degree to materialsengineers having sound knowledge of structure, properties, behaviour of technical materials (such as metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, and new functional materials).
