Responding to the development of Information and Communication Technologies in the last decades, the programme will provide knowledge and design experiences in all the application fields of digital technologies: interactive and connected products, responsive environments, tangible and multimedia interfaces, personal artifacts. The focus is on design for experience through the innovation of artifacts, spaces and services.

The MSc Creative Music and Sound Design for Visual Media Scoring equips students to master the entire chain from musical composition to post-production in the field of music for images.

The fundamental educational objective is to offer a wide range of design tools able to provide appropriate skills in creatively managing products, services, events, and communication strategies in an integrated way.

The MSc Program in Integrated Product Design approaches the Product Design discipline in a comprehensive and systemic way, with a strong cultural attitude. Within an accelerated social and technical progress, products progressively evolve into complex systems that merge both tangible and intangible aspects.

This program aims at training highly skilled professionals, who are able to critically deal with Landscape and interior-spatial design, New Interiors and Ephemeral/Temporary spaces. Interior and spatial designers will be able to creatively work in projects with an innovative functional, aesthetic, technical and technological approach even for social innovation. The program is characterized by different didactical activities, ranging from mono-disciplinary courses to experimental workshops and design studio, where students are given the opportunity to experiment the tools used in design professions.

The program created by the cooperation in the educational project of the disciplinary areas of Design, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering, has the objective of specialist training in three fundamental areas: Design, Process and Industrial Production; Design Materials; Representation and Prototyping.

The Master of science program in Communication Design prepares a designer able to cope with strategic communication problems, providing innovative solutions and coordinating all the roles and competencies involved in a complex communication project.

The two-year MA in Design, Multimedia, and Visual Communication (LM-12), established in the A.Y. 2007/2008, is a second-level university program in the field of Design that aims to train a designer to think up and plan communication artefacts’ contents, aesthetic and technological aspects in both physical and digital environments.

The M.Sc. in Product and Service Design is for students who want to deepen their design skills by exploring new technologies, cultural contexts, and social issues. Our students will face creative challenges in developing products and services to improve people's lives according to the Digital and Green Transition. They will design extensively, think creatively, and reflect critically.

The role of the art director is evolving, and with it, the ways in which this profession is practiced: it’s no longer about an individual, but rather multiple figures capable of working in total synergy. Pure creative talent is not enough; one must be able to express oneself at the highest technical level by choosing the best operational strategy.
