We are located on the second floor of the south wing of the Bellamy Building. The Department of Economics is the largest department in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy. We have 34 full time faculty and an active research program. At the undergraduate level, we offer an economics major, economics minor, as well as several specialized studies programs. At the graduate level, we offer both an MS program and a PhD program.

The Masters in Geography program has two tracks: The thesis track (for students interested in conducting independent research; often these students enter a PhD program following the Masters) or the non-thesis track (for students interested in advancing their expertise without conducting independent research; these students typically enter the workforce following their degree).

The Colleges master’s program emphasizes the importance of scientifically rigorous research that informs public policy. The master’s degree in criminology prepares students to be informed, knowledgeable scientific research users that examine criminal behaviour and public policy responses to crime.

The Master of Social Work degree program at FSU Panama City is designed to enable students to develop professional practice competence by providing a curriculum that includes social work practice, social policy, knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, research knowledge and experience, and field education.
