Our department was established in 2002 based on the monumental donation of Mun-Sul Jeong, whose mission is to foster creative convergence talents in the fields of biotechnology and brain engineering who will lead the future of Korea. Since its establishment, it has grown remarkably until now, and now it has emerged as a world-class department leading bio-convergence engineering. Our department can be said to be the most brilliantly embodied of KAIST's spirit of 'creativity and 'challenge'. From March 1, 2015, it was changed from the College of Life Science and Technology to the College of Engineering, which provided an opportunity to reflect on the original spirit of the establishment of the department by pursuing engineering goals based on convergence research. And we have re-established the department vision as follows

In the Department of Electronics Engineering, based on a basic understanding of natural sciences and a fundamental understanding of signals and systems, not only traditional engineering fields such as communication, semiconductor, analog, and digital circuits, power electronics, measurement, and control engineering, but also next-generation display, smart grid and You can study in a variety of fields including new and renewable energy, signal processing, robotics, biomedical engineering, telematics, green energy, and computer vision. In addition, the Department of Electronics and Control Engineering has a DSP laboratory equipped with the latest equipment, a capstone design room, a com-use integrated circuit design room, an embedded system laboratory, control, and system room, and a remote control laboratory, and all lecture rooms are constructed as state-of-the-art classrooms. Students can listen to lectures in a rich and comfortable environment and conduct hands-on and research using the latest equipment.

Students cultivate interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary research ability through the acquisition of theories related to visual design and nurture talents who can contribute to the industrial society by cultivating design approaches based on theory and creative problem-solving skills. A future-oriented visual design study that extends to the areas of user experience design and image design, which are the areas of information transmission through digital media, from the concept of visual design, which was commonly used as graphic design, centering on print media. It advances into various fields such as visual information design, editing/public relations design, media/video design, user experience design, and cultural content design.

As society rapidly changes while entering the 21st Century, the life of many individuals and families are weakening, and this is leading to social chaos. Hence, Korea Baptist Theological University/Seminary has established the Graduate School of Counseling (Dept. of Counseling Psychology) to contribute to building a bright and healthy church and future society by restoring individuals and families breaking down. If students complete the Counseling Psychology course, they receive the “Master of Culture (counseling and clinical psychology)” degree. And they can acquire a counseling specialist license acknowledged by our graduate school and a specialist license from various organizations including the Korean Association of Christian Counseling & Psychotherapy. Through this, graduates can work as counseling specialists and ministers in churches, counseling centers, hospitals, and schools. The Department of Counseling Psychology at the Graduate School of Counseling, which is a special graduate school with evening classes, can train competent counseling specialists needed in this day and age by providing education centered around systematic, specialized, and practical research.

The Graduate School of Theology is a special graduate school established to train workmen with the calling to become pastors, missionaries, and church leaders for a mature church and society. Under the authorization by the Ministry of Education, its broad and diverse curriculum ranging from basic training to the academic nature of theology is also the course that trains a student to become a leader. The Graduate School of Theology comprised of young elites with diverse academic backgrounds and experiences from all over the country is the ground for broadening the range of one's learning as well as one's life and experience. Various career path opens up after graduation, and students are able to study abroad and promote academic exchanges due to the trust the school is receiving from foreign schools.

The Master of Science in International Business Management degree program is designed specifically for non-business majors who want to excel in today’s marketplace and builds on the skills and knowledge gained in your undergraduate studies preparing you for a broad range of fields and careers. This degree prepares you for leadership roles in both public and private sector organizations. With this degree, graduates will find a wide array of career opportunities in a diverse field of industries. Program graduates may qualify for managerial promotion opportunities within their existing job or may transition from a technical/engineering position to an advanced management position.

AI and big data analysis is known as the core technology for Industry4.0. As a result, there are strong demands for qualified AI(Artificial Intelligence) specialists globally. That is why Endicott College of International Studies (ECIS) of Woosong University is currently running a technology studies department with a major in software innovation and data science. Early next year, there are also plans to open a research institute (4Lab Research Institute) to enhance industry application-based research capability in AI and big data. Students participating in our Master’s of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence will be able to take full advantage of the research institute.

The Master of Science Program is constructed around the academic exploration of the design discipline and its application and methods. Through various collaborative projects with the industry, the ability to exercise and manage design projects is strengthened. Individual studies concerning high-level theories and practical application are practiced to acquire skills applicable to practical business.

This department is the only department of a national university established in 1989 according to the necessity of the modern knowledge and information society. It has produced 300 enrolled students, 1,500 undergraduate graduates, and 100 engineering masters, and 25 technicians related to equipment, which are the hallmarks of the best engineers. This department pursues traditional learning comprised of theology, church music theory, and practice of musical pastoral ministry. It also pursues expertise related to modern worship through worship planning, worship leading, worship ensemble, practical music theory and arrangement, recording & producing. Students participate in various practical training and are given opportunities to plan and lead worship in the school worship service. The department provides optimized education for enhancing the skills of church music specialists based on spirituality. The department awards Master of Divinity (M.Div. with C.M.) for training musical pastors. It is the only degree of its kind in Korea. And graduates can pursue various careers such as musical pastor, worship leader, minister specializing in church music, conductor, CCM artist, missionary, broadcaster, contents editor, public performance planner, institute president, etc. They can also engage in vigorous activities in domestic and overseas church circles and educational circles, mission fields, performance stages, etc.
