The aim of the single-cycle degree course in CTF (PCT) is to provide students with an advanced level of multidisciplinary training for the pursuit of highly qualified activities in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The multidisciplinary nature of the knowledge enables the graduate to enter various sectors of the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical-food, and cosmetic industry, as well as to work as a Pharmacist and Chemist, or to carry out professional activities in the pharmaceutical, pharmacological, and (bio)chemical fields. School teaching is not precluded. The training pathway aims to train a professional figure capable of operating in complex realities with adequate tools of critical knowledge, and analysis and with specific evaluation and implementation planning skills.

The master's degree in Analytical Chemistry provides specialized training through which students will learn to tackle specific analytical problems in a range of specific fields (the environment, pharmacy, nutrition, clinical settings, biomedicine, etc.), placing special emphasis on experimental work complemented by advanced theoretical training.

This department aims to nurture specialists who can contribute to medical care, as well as researchers in the field of clinical pharmacy. During the first semester, students are required to take specialized subjects in clinical pharmacy. During the next six months, they learn and practice the work performed by pharmacists on hospital wards at affiliated hospitals. During their second year, students work on a research topic at SPU or a teaching hospital under the guidance of their advisor and write a master's thesis.

The education course is organized in three levels and lasts five years. The first level is aimed at securing fundamental training of future pharmacists. The second level is oriented towards gaining knowledge and acquiring skills specific for the pharmaceutical profession. The education is organized in three profiles – general, clinical and industrial, the choice being made after the sixth semester. Students of both majors study special pharmaceutical and medical subjects. The third level of the study course -practicum- takes place in the X-th semester in public or hospital pharmacies, which are established as training centers. The assessment of this practical work includes written and oral colloquia. For their graduation students in pharmacy are obliged to pass a state final certification examination or to prepare and defend a diploma thesis. The graduates are conferred a “Master” degree and the qualification of “Pharmacist”.

To train Masters in Pharmacy through a pertinent and flexible academic program, aimed at research, who will be able to participate in academic, clinical, and research activities in the pharmaceutical field. Particular objectives Encourage the training of graduates with analytical, critical and creative thinking through the offer of a flexible program, focused on research, which emphasizes participation in the generation and application of knowledge for the development of solutions to problems in the field of the pharmacist, within a social and humanistic context, through a multidisciplinary program, with current contents and participation in seminars and forums. Provide the student with the theoretical conceptual bases in the area of ​​Health through the teaching of courses to establish the fundamentals of knowledge necessary for participation in the development of the research project. Promote research in the pharmaceutical area through a program based on the development of a research project, which encourages the analysis of national and / or global problems, the approach of a methodology for their study and the verification of hypotheses through experimentation through the thesis seminar and research residencies. Promote the capacity of integration to multidisciplinary groups through the link with other national and international institutions for the realization of stays, where the Masters in Pharmacy will be able to acquire new technical-scientific skills, as well as improve their communication skills and critical analysis. Promote the comprehensive training of the Master in Pharmacy through a program in which the ethical values ​​of the profession are promoted, as well as the development of skills that will allow them to also enter the field of teaching at various educational levels.

This recently revised course prepares students for work in a public pharmacy, a hospital pharmacy, or as an official pharmacist. The curriculum is based on the new learning objective catalog of the Federal Medical Professions Act (MedBG) and can be completed with the federal examination in pharmacy. The new MedBG requires that pharmacists should contribute more to basic medical care than before. The "Pharmacy 2016 Learning Objectives Catalog" is based on this principle. The revised master’s program implements these new requirements, which is reflected in the focus on competencies in diagnostics, clinical assessment, and triage in the pharmacy.
