The progress of all master's candidates is monitored biannually by the supervisor and the postgraduate coordinator. A candidate's study may be terminated if the progress is unsatisfactory or if the candidate is unable to finish his/her studies during the prescribed period.

Midwifery is an independent nursing occupation in Japan. All midwives are educated as nurses and midwives and have licensure as a registered nurse and separate licensure as a midwife. The minimum length of education and training required to receive licensure in Japan is three years for nurses and one year for midwives. There are various midwifery education programs in Japan, such as graduate school Master’s courses; undergraduate courses; undergraduate non-degree programs; undergraduate special courses; junior college non-degree programs; and vocational schools. The current midwifery environment in Japan is characterized by the progression of our declining birthrate, the aging of expectant mothers, a lack of obstetricians, a decrease in parturient facilities, and a concurrent advancement of perinatal medicine and assisted reproductive technology. Therefore, midwives are required to possess advanced diagnostic and practical midwifery skills and the ability to collaborate with other medical professionals including obstetricians.

Homeopathy is a Complex Medical System that handles a specific medical rationale different from that of conventional medicine, approaching the health-disease process from the vitalist medical paradigm and whose therapeutic principle is based on the law of similarity using diluted and dynamic medicines to treat the whole of being. The complete course of medical education lasts six years and is organized in three stages. BS to MD pathways offer high school applicants multiple options to apply to the professional Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at CNU College of Medicine (CNUCOM). Some pathways options are designed to allow entering freshmen to complete their pre-medicine coursework and MD in an accelerated time frame if they meet specific criteria to be admitted into CNUCOM. Students accepted into a BS to MD pathway will begin their program of study in the College of Health Sciences (CHS) undergraduate program towards obtaining their BS degree while completing all prerequisite academic coursework to satisfy CNUCOM requirements.
