The Master in Italian literature and Italian civilization is offered by the Institute of Italian Studies (ISI) of the University of Italian Switzerland, USI, based in Lugano. The full-time study program comprises 120 ECTS for a usual duration of two years. It corresponds to '+2' in the Bologna system and is equivalent to the Master's Degree. An agreement signed April 4, 2011 also embodies the equivalence between the Master of Arts in "Language, literature and Italian civilization" of the University and a Master degree in "Modern Philology. Sciences literature, theater and cinema "of the University of Pavia, and therefore enables the graduates of USI Master of access to Italian public competitions.
