For those ready to tackle it, the Master of Arts in Religion (M.A.R.) degree invites you to study the world as it is shaped by religious inheritances, ideas, passions, and ways of life.

Since the turn of the millennium religious ideas and identities have increasingly shaped national and international politics, especially in the Middle East. This online MA program – led by Prof. Jonathan Fox, one of the world’s foremost experts in the field – provides a unique platform for understanding the role of religion in contemporary politics. We explore the potential of religions to unite and divide societies, to exacerbate conflict, or provide frameworks for peace. Whether you are planning a career in academia, policy research, diplomacy, conflict resolution, or the clergy, or whether you simply have a passion to understand the social forces that shape our world, this program is for you. This two-year, online MA program will provide you with a deep academic grounding in religious and Middle Eastern politics as well as in general political science. The program is taught entirely in English by leading experts. There are approximately six hours of online teaching each week, and the program is open to students anywhere in the world. We consider both religious politics and Middle Eastern politics important topics of study within political science. This program uniquely combines these topics, which include a broad survey of Middle Eastern politics as well as religious politics both in the Middle East and outside of the Middle East. At the same time, we provide courses that cover basic political science theory and methodology. Thus, while this course of study has a unique focus, it will also provide a broad foundation in the general discipline of political science. Bar-Ilan University’s Political Science Department is uniquely situated to provide this course of study. Master of Arts in Apologetics - Philosophical Apologetics Emphasis - Online takes the classical propositional approach, and goes in-depth into the philosophical issues. "Graduate Philosophy in English” is a 2-year MA program for both Polish and foreign students. All offered courses are taught entirely in the English language. The studies are meant to develop philosophical skills and competencies that are useful in the professional, public, and private spheres (e.g., critical thinking, creativity, rationality, and effective argumentation).

In October 2016, the Faculty of Humanities will introduce the master's program in Jewish Philosophy and Religion. Over four semesters, students deal with philosophical and religious questions about Judaism and deepen their knowledge of Hebrew.

EUCLID offers two closely related programs associated with its recognized expertise and intergovernmental mandate in the field interfaith studies and diplomacy.

The two-year programme focuses on the study of canon law and provides an introduction into the law of other religions (comparative law) and the study of capita selecta. In MA Religion, Politics and Society religion remains a force to be reckoned with in the contemporary global geopolitical landscape. As a result, there is a pressing need to reassess predominant understandings of secularisation, as well as the meanings of, and tensions inherent within, secular assumptions and secularist positions.

The Master of Arts (Thesis) (MA (Thesis))

The Master of Arts in Religion (34 graduate semester hours) at Community of Christ Seminary is designed for bi-vocational ministers who want to deepen their understanding of faith and ministry and transform the community, as well as for professional ministers preparing to lead others in discipleship and mission. It builds a strong foundation of formation in Christian scripture, tradition and mission and offers three concentrations for focused development: Christian Theology, Spiritual Leadership, Peace and Justice. This degree provides a strong academic foundation in biblical studies, Christian history, and theology, leadership, peace, and justice. These subjects offer essential preparation for Christian ministry and/or doctoral study in religion.

Our Theology & Religious Studies Masters course will take you on a journey from the religious worlds of the great Western traditions to the mystical world of the ancient East. It will cover the burning contemporary issues that surround Religious Studies today and delve into life’s great questions.
