The MA in Graphic Design & Digital Media emphasizes professional and career development with advanced study of the field and encourages students to extend their design skills into content creation, authorship, entrepreneurialism, and social innovation.

As the only program of its kind in the United States, the Master of Arts in Game Design drives students to stretch their capacities as designers, developers, consumers, and game administrators and apply that to their unique fields of interest. Students bring to the program their own experiences—whether in politics, science, art, history, marketing, or international studies—and can choose from multidisciplinary courses across our schools of communication, business, and arts.

Designed for those who are interested in exploring the wide-ranging creative field of New Media that goes beyond traditionally defined art and design disciplines, this program employs methods of transdisciplinary practice through collaborative teamwork.

This master’s degree is designed to be completed in one year, or over a fall, a spring and a summer semester. (Working professionals may want to take longer to complete it.) It will prepare recent graduates or practice professionals to excel in the exciting field of digital journalism and in other media- or communication-related fields.

The Master of Arts in Digital Media Strategy is a professional digital media masters program for designing, managing, and measuring digital media communication campaigns' effects.

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Studio Art is a 30 credit hour, two-year program for artists. Students complete 15 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in various studio art areas such as graphic design, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and sculpture (3D studies).

The purpose of this degree is to provide graphic designers with an opportunity to develop advanced conceptual and technical mastery in a specific area of concentration with a biblically supported understanding of the arts.

The MFA Graphic Design Program is a year-long, LA-based student, faculty, and research collective of designers investigating the issues of our day. We blend design exploration, critical inquiry, and applied projects to interrogate and better our world. We partner with organizations to foster deep impact beyond the classroom. Usually, students convene for four consecutive semesters completing all required credits in fourteen months; this accelerated program serves the needs of working professionals and traditional students, alike. During the course of studies, students learn to work across media and platforms through a series of studio projects, visiting workshops, courses in design theory and history, and round table discussions. The coursework engages research, discourse, critical thinking, and iterative process with the goal of discovering many possible design outcomes. In doing so, the program supports students in taking on the challenges and opportunities in contemporary graphic design practice.
