University of North Dakota College of Business and Public Administration
Introduction
The College of Business and Public Administration (CoBPA) is the FIRST accredited business college in North Dakota. Our accrediting agency, AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) establishes standards to promote the highest levels of educational quality. The CoBPA is one of only 528 business educational institutions accredited in the world.
As of September 2007, we had 1,775 students enrolled in our 14 undergraduate programs and 146 enrolled in our four graduate programs. Some of our graduate students are enrolled off-campus and participate in class via our Interactive Video Network (IVN) in Bismarck and Dickinson.
The CoBPA has eight departments to serve our students and alumni. We will remain interdisciplinary in our teaching, research, service, and international efforts. Our most recent undergraduate degree majors are in Graphic Design Technology through the Technology Department and the Investments major through our Finance Department. Our most recent graduate degree program is a Masters of Science in Applied Economics.
Thanks to our focus on technology and with recent donations from our outstanding alumni, we have brought the CoBPA into the 21st Century. We have updated our student computer labs, installed classroom presentation equipment, updated faculty and staff computers, purchased the latest versions of software, and added more file servers. In addition, we have built an investment center specialty room (A. Kirk Lanterman Investment Center). Students are also involved in investment decisions for a designated investment fund (created with funds from other donors). We have completely remodeled the Accountancy (Eide Bailly, Kulas/Koppenhaver, Deloitte, Brady Martz, and John Berg) and Marketing (Page Family) areas with the help of a wide variety of donors. We have also remodeled the Office of Academic Advisement (Helland Family) and a Management classroom (Gate City Bank) as well as an office suite (Ottertail Corporation).
