Introduction

The aeronautical industry is constantly evolving in terms of legislation, technologies, strategies, processes and protocols. Against this, the worldwide demand for airline management experts according to modern criteria of safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, sustainability, resilience, transparency, non-discrimination is growing. The Master therefore intends to respond to this need, strongly felt today in the labor market, by acquiring skills and providing the technical-legal and economic-managerial tools to optimally master the management of airlines, responding and adapting to requests and challenges of a sector subject to continuous changes. Particular attention will be paid to the reference regulatory framework at an international, supranational and national level, also studied in the light of the policy documents drawn up at a European level, as well as to sustainable strategies (corporate sustainability), which make it possible to reduce operating costs, maintaining high levels of safety and at the same time respecting the environment. The corporate policy must observe the specific rules and guidelines for the sector in which the company operates, so that the different departments or branches of the company work towards the achievement of a single objective. This fundamental function of supervision and coordination is carried out by figures who cover the functions of managers. The Course also aims to provide detailed information and ensure continuous updates on current developments that are taking place in the airlines sector, especially after the devastating Covid-19 effect, and - more generally - in the various existing business management contexts in the aeronautical field. Therefore, the skills acquired during the Master's course can be well applied in similar contexts, such as that of airport management companies. The didactic activities will always be of a practical-operational nature to ensure that the case studies being studied can be applied to real working contexts. The use of the English language in the classroom, and in particular of aeronautical English, is necessary in light of the fact that the sector, on a global level, has now made English its primary language. The educational objectives of the Master are functional to entry into the world of work, with particular regard to managerial careers in the airlines sector, but also in other companies, firms, bodies or institutions in various capacities involved in air transport, as well as in the market of the free professions.
