Curriculum
On-Campus vs. Online
The ECE Master of Engineering is offered as an in-person and online program to allow students to complete the degree in the mode most suitable for their needs. Both programs offer newly developed courses in emerging topics such as robotics, machine learning, quantum computing, and more. The main differences between the two programs consist of available coursework and fields of specialization.
On-Campus
- Students in the on-campus M.Eng. program have the option to take ECE 446 (Principles of Experimental Research in Electrical Engineering) and ENG 573 (Capstone Project).
- In-person students are expected to be able to complete all degree requirements in two to three continuous semesters (fall and spring terms only).
Online
- All requirements for the online M.Eng. can be completed entirely online, eliminating the need for moving and commuting. Faculty hold dedicated virtual office hours for online students.
