Introduction
Civil engineering provides sustainable solutions to the problems of integration of infrastructures with the environment and society. The planning of cities and their services, the layout of railway networks and highways, the defense of coasts and beaches, security against floods and earthquakes, the design and construction of bridges, tunnels, dams and ports or integrated management of projects and works constitute the most common activities of civil engineering.
The Máster Universitario en Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos qualifies you to practice the regulated profession of Civil, Canal and Port Engineer. Road, Canal and Port engineers graduated from the UPV have historically achieved a preparation highly recognized by society, in which technical rigor is combined with the development of creativity, interdisciplinarity and respect for the environment.
The Máster Universitario en Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos has a teaching load of 120 ECTS in 2 courses, covering scientific expansion subjects, specific technologies of Civil Engineering, Canals and Ports and specialization training in some of the following areas: expansion of scientific training; structural and geotechnical engineering; hydraulic and environmental engineering; transportation and territory engineering; management, conservation and exploitation.
Program accredited by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission, under the general criteria and the criteria of Civil Engineering programs and similar names.

Program Outcome
The Master's Degree in Civil Engineering qualifies students for the regulated profession of Civil Engineering. Therefore, the Curriculum complies with Order CIN/309/2009 of 9 February, which establishes the requirements for the verification of official university degrees that qualify students to practice the profession of Civil engineering.
The competencies of Civil Engineers are, in general, consultancy, analysis, design, calculation, project, planning, direction, management, construction, maintenance, conservation and operation in the fields of civil engineering, infrastructures and the services they provide, hydraulic and energy resources, building, construction and structures, town and country planning, ports and coasts, transport and its infrastructures, as well as the environmental aspects related to these fields.
