Introduction
This Master responds to the demand for specialists in the post-production of audiovisual products focused on entertainment, informative, educational and public service content that make the most of the interactive and innovative capabilities of new digital media and that represent a boost to integrate the maximum number of citizens in the Information and Knowledge Society.
The Master trains professionals specialized in the final phase of the production process of an audiovisual product, covering in the common audiovisual module the basic subjects in technology, narration, editing and composition both from the point of view of audio and video, to move on to specialize in each branch with a wide range of electives. It is a master's degree with a professional and investigative orientation that is reflected in two different training itineraries. Being able to choose to carry out internships in external entities, or the development of an original research work as a final master's project, allowing the extension of the line of research with a doctoral thesis in the doctoral program of Cultural Industries and Communication of the UPV.
The Master's is taught on the Gandia campus due to the high specialization of its teaching staff and research staff, evidenced in the trajectory of its degrees, especially Audiovisual Communication, Higher Technical Telecommunications Engineering specializing in Sound and Image, and the Master's in Acoustic Engineering. In turn allowing the use of shared facilities and laboratories such as the TV studio, the Radio studio, the cameramanship classroom, the audiovisual equipment for filming, sound recording and lighting, etc. With more than 80 reference collaborating companies in the audiovisual sector, so that master's students can carry out internships and/or their final master's project in companies in the sector.
Among its teaching staff, it has the participation, as external teachers, of different professionals from the sector, which has allowed it to reach various external certification agreements with the following entities participating in the Master:
- AVID, will be taught by the only external AVID certifying teacher in Spain, certifying his classes with an external exam.
- Adobe After Effects, will be taught by an external certifying teacher and expert in this software package.
- Apple Logic Studio, will teach a certifying teacher and expert in this software package, certifying his classes with an external exam.
- Protools, will be taught by an external teacher and expert in this software package.
The master's degree is equipped with a specific classroom provided with the post-production equipment and software used in the professional world. A classroom with 21 Apple® computers and licenses for AVID®, Protools®, Apple® Logic Studio and Adobe® Production Premium with After Effects, among others.
