Master in Audio-visual Communication for New Media
The Master in Audiovisual Communication for New Media (MCANM) emerges as a response to the most recent developments in the audiovisual area, namely the growing proliferation of new means of broadcasting audiovisual signal, of which smartphones, television/videocast solutions and others through the Internet, along with new interactive forms for the use and appropriation of these contents. In this context, the MCANM presents as the overall aims for the study cycle to develop students’ skills in the processes of preproduction and production of audiovisual content and their adaptation to new means of content transmission, through the development of various audiovisual projects for the New Media

Program Outcome
The MCANM seeks to endow students with skills in pre-production, production and post-productions of audiovisual content for dissemination in new media. In this regard, it is sought that students achieve the following skills/learning outcomes:
- Identify the role and relevance that audiovisual content plays in the current scenario based on the dissemination in new media and on consumption in mobility;
- Apply the principles of cinematography, post-production and special effects in the production of audiovisual content;
- Pre-produce and produce crossmedia and transmedia narratives;
- Investigate strategies for the dissemination, publication and transmission of audiovisual content on social platforms and networks;
- Apply the principles of audiovisual production in the development of audiovisual projects in work teams.
