Diego Portales University

Introduction

The Diego Portales University, founded on October 4, 1982, emerged as a non-profit private law foundation that validated its proposal in the experience of academic management that the IPEVE Professional Institute had developed for 20 years, since 1963. The beginning of its teaching activities occurred in March 1983 with three faculties: Administrative Sciences (Commercial Engineering, Accountant Auditor and Execution Engineering in Administration, Marketing and Finance), Law and Psychology, whose careers were examined by some traditional universities. Shortly after, the Federation of Portalean Students (Fedep) was formed, which made the UDP the first private university to have a federation of students.
