Introduction
The Master in Computer Science and Technology offers advanced training in computer science that provide our students with an academic and R&D specialization in the areas of artificial intelligence, software engineering and secure, multimedia and distributed systems.
The Master Program aims at students to acquire advanced scientific and technological knowledge on this subject and master a set of theoretical principles, scientific methods and formal instruments that enable them to carry out research, development and innovation work in this area, all in a flexible way to facilitate its adaptation to a rapidly changing environment such as IT.
Considering the diversity of aspects within the discipline of computing and the speed with which they all evolve, the success of this master is to have a group of specialists, all doctors, very heterogeneous that can cover the range of topics on information technology and who are carrying out leading research in the laboratories of which they are members, as well as the transfer of research results to the industrial sector. You can increase the value of your CV, during your studies in this master, since if you wish you can be linked to one of the research groups to which the experts who teach the master, and you will have an accreditation that guarantees you as a member of that group during that period.

UC3M Full Scholarships to the Master's Study for the Academic Year 2024/2025
The Carlos III University of Madrid announces 6 full scholarships to study the Master in Computer Science and Technology in the academic year 2024/2025, which gives access to doctoral programs of the UC3M.
- The full scholarship will include the corresponding academic fees, as well as an annual allowance of € 11,500.
To apply for the scholarship it is necessary to have been admitted to the master's program or to have formalized the application for admission to the master's program.
UC3M Scholarships for the Year 2024/2025
The Carlos III University of Madrid announces 1 scholarship for the academic year 2024-2025, aimed at newly admitted students of the Master in Computer Science and Technology from non-Spanish university centers associated with the Ibero-American Postgraduate University Association (AUIP), with the following provision:
- Tuition assistance for the amount of the corresponding academic fees
- Bag or study scholarship of €1,500
To apply, you must have completed the application for admission to the Master’s.
Curriculum
The curriculum consists of 30 compulsory ECTS credits, 12 ECTS credits of elective subjects and 18 ECTS credits of Master's Thesis, which represents a total of 60 ECTS credits.
The Master's Thesis of 18 credits will consist of the elaboration of a research work in one of the areas covered in the curriculum and its public presentation before an examining board. The Master's thesis does not have a predetermined teaching staff, but each work will be directed by one or more PhD professors of the Department of Computer Science.
