Introduction
The Master of International Relations program develops international affairs professionals who understand complex, transnational issues and manage real-world organizations. Students acquire qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and the hands-on management skills required by leaders in the major fields of international affairs and substantive knowledge of a policy concentration and demonstrated foreign language ability.
Students have the opportunity to study a broad range of issues, including the formulation and implementation of foreign policy, relations between states and governments, international organizations and NGOs, international law, conflict, and post-conflict peace-making and transitional justice, the role of empire or revolutions in world politics, and gender and international relations. Develop sophisticated critical thinking through this intellectually rigorous, research-intensive program.
Courses are taught by academics who are recognized experts in international relations theory, public policy, international political economy and security, Georgian and comparative politics, and migration.
The Master of International Relations may lead to a career within international business, consulting, government, journalism, and international organizations. This course also provides an opportunity for professionals in these sectors to gain advanced training that supports career advancement.
