Introduction
The Master of Education's mission in Curriculum and Instruction program is to provide a quality program through which certified teacher candidates demonstrate the advanced knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to have a positive impact on student achievement in grades PK-12.
Master of Education (MED) programs are designed for graduate students who already have certification. Admission to a MED program requires that you meet all of the University-wide requirements for admission as a master's degree student and that you have a valid teaching certificate. The Department of Teaching & Learning offers two MED options with several concentration areas available for each option. You do not need to have prior certification in special education to enroll in the MED in Special Education.
