Introduction
The use of accounting data to manage modern firms is at the heart of this profile. This is important not only to manufacturing firms but also to knowledge-based firms. The program gives you competences for preparation, development, and usage of economic and other reporting used in all types of firms and competences in arguing for the consequences of choosing different designs of management control systems. Through the program, you will gain skills in designing and using financial reporting and other accounting models.

Program Structure
To give you a foundation for making strategic decisions regarding preparation, development, and usage of economic and other control systems, the program contains courses covering how to construct and use financial and non-financial information when making strategic decisions in the firm. You will also become proficient in using methods and tools which can support the generation of economic information which is essential to the management of the firm. These methods are at the core of this program.

Specific competencies for the profile in Management Accounting
The focus area of the profile is the firms' management and finance function areas. These areas are important not only to production firms but also to modern knowledge-based firms.
The graduates will have knowledge about and skills in, how to construct and use financial and non-financial information when making strategic decisions in the firm. Candidates from this profile will have greater knowledge within the main subjects in accounting management: Management Accounting, Advanced Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Foundation of Organization. The latter underpins the connection between the organization of the firm and the accounting management. Furthermore, the graduate will gain knowledge about and skills in using methods and tools which can support the generation of economic information which is essential to the management of the firm.
Finally, the graduate has obtained competences in regard to preparation, development, and usage of economic and other reporting/control systems used in all types of firms. The Candidate can design financial reporting and other management models. Finally, a candidate has gained competencies in arguing for the consequences of choosing different designs of management.
