OC is home to extraordinary callings, and the Master of Science in Engineering program seeks to transform lives for Christian faith, scholarship, and service. The MSE is a rigorous educational program, with a broad selection of classes designed to enhance your abilities as a new engineering graduate or a practicing professional who aspires to make significant contributions in technology, innovation, and productivity. The program allows you to select areas that will add depth and breadth to your technical and business knowledge.
Your 30 credit hours of coursework may include optional directed study, project, or research credits. An optional practicum makes industry experience part of your educational plan and increases the program to 33 credit hours. All classes are offered on campus with some classes also offered online.

Purpose and Objectives
Transforming lives for Christian faith, scholarship, and service, the MSE is a rigorous educational program designed to develop characteristics including:
- Increased depth of knowledge in the chosen engineering major, including a blend of current theory and practice.
- Increased breadth of knowledge extending beyond the chosen engineering major into another engineering, mathematics, computer science, and/or business topics.
- Enhanced communication skills within the practice of engineering and the management of technology.
- Knowledge of issues of ethics and social responsibility and an understanding of Christian values and faith.
