Introduction
The Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering is designed to provide advanced and specialized training in the field of industrial technology, of a multidisciplinary nature, and that will enable you to undertake, plan and integrate innovative technologies.
It also offers the possibility of choosing one of the following three specialties: Structural Mechanics, Materials and Manufacturing Processes and Industrial Electronics. Likewise, you can choose the Research itinerary that gives direct access to the doctoral program. Campus where these specialties are taught:
- Structural Mechanics: Arrasate-Mondragon
- Materials and Manufacturing Processes: Arrasate-Mondragon and Orona Ideo
- Industrial Electronics: Orona Ideo
We highlight
- TFM in an industrial environment with a scholarship of € 650 / month
- 75% of students in study-work alternation
- High employability
- Double degree with prestigious foreign universities
Methodology
Mondragon Unibertsitatea offers advanced training based on its own teaching-learning methodologies:
- Active methodologies, based on the realization of multidisciplinary projects (Project Based Learning PBL)
- Continuous feedback promoting personal development
- Continuous assessment
- Possibility of study-work alternation
- Final Master's Thesis in Companies and Technological Centers of reference

Dual Program
Mondragon Unibertsitatea is a practical university, immersed in business reality and that provides students with different learning experiences in business environments (dual training, study-work alternation, and final degree / master projects).
We have a large network of collaborating companies that integrate the dual training experiences of students as a strategy to attract and retain young talent. These companies also help students to integrate their final bachelor / master project into the larger research and transfer projects that they carry out together with Mondragon Unibertsitatea .
All these training experiences in business environments last between 10 months and 3 years depending on the modality and have a financial aid bag.
Ideal Students
Addressed to
Students in possession of university degrees qualifying for the profession of Industrial Technical Engineer (without complements) and Technical Engineers/Graduates in Industrial Design, Industrial Organization, Ecotechnologies, Biomedical, Energy and others (with training complements).
Career Opportunities
- Project Engineering
- Industrial Management
- Research and Development of New Technologies
- Design of Machines, Structures and Facilities
- Quality management
- Production Management
- Industrial Systems Maintenance Management
Program Outcome
The objective of the Master of Industrial Engineering is to train engineers qualified to:
- Direct and manage technically and economically, product design projects, processes, facilities and plants, meeting quality and environmental requirements, through work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Project and design products, processes, facilities and industrial plants, from their conception to their commercialization, in all areas of the industrial engineer's professional responsibilities.
- Direct and manage research projects aimed at scientific-technological development, in multidisciplinary and multisectoral environments, promoting the management and transfer of the knowledge generated.
This title qualifies for the exercise of the profession of Industrial Engineer, regulated by Order CIN/311/2009, of February 9, (02/18/2009).
On the other hand, the learning results achieved in this Master are adapted to Level 3 of the MECES (Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education).
Students who meet the requirements established by Decree 47/2012 of April 3 on the 'Recognition of official studies carried out in Basque and exemption from accreditation with titles and linguistic certifications in Basque', may obtain exemption from the accreditation of the level equivalent to C1 (EGA).
Curriculum
The Master in Industrial Engineering offers the possibility of specializing in the following three specialties:
- Structural Mechanics, based on advanced mechanical design technologies with the use of computational techniques in mechanical engineering, system simulation techniques and behavior in service in order to design and optimize mechanical systems for industrial equipment.
- Materials and Manufacturing Processes, based on the analysis, selection and application of both the most appropriate materials and manufacturing technologies according to the function and shape of the pieces and components of the equipment, considering the most innovative materials and manufacturing processes.
- Industrial Electronics, based on the latest technologies in the world of industrial electronics, will train future engineers so that they are able to incorporate them into the industry so that it can respond to new technological challenges. It is a multidisciplinary profile capable of integrating and automating systems.
Likewise, you can opt for the Research Itinerary where the Methodological Foundations for Research are taught, which gives direct access to the doctoral program.
