Introduction

The cycle of studies aimed at obtaining a master's degree in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications comprises 4 semesters (2 academic years), with the degree awarded to those who obtain 120 ECTS.

The main objective of the Master in Electrotechnical Engineering - Telecommunications is the development of skills started in the first cycle of studies in the area of ​​Electrotechnical Engineering with an emphasis on Telecommunications. It also aims at the acquisition and development of scientific and pedagogical skills necessary for the exercise of senior management functions in public and private companies.

In this way, a specialist in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications will have to demonstrate skills to understand and analyze problems in electrical engineering and telecommunications, applying universally accepted methodologies; finding solutions that respect commitments of cost, time, functionality, and social and environmental framework; having a knowledge that allows following the fast and complex development of electrical engineering and telecommunications, adapting and mastering essential concepts and tools; dealing with scientific rigor in the fields of design, modeling, production, operation and maintenance of electrotechnical engineering and telecommunications systems; knowing how to lead groups and projects, assessing the importance of Man and Society before Technology;
