Introduction
The Master of Arts (MA) Program in Turkish Studies is an interdisciplinary program combining a foundational grasp of the history, economy, politics, sociology, and culture of modern Turkey with deeper explorations into any one or more of these areas, with a view to preparing its graduates for either (a) the national or international job market in any field of activity involving Turkey, or (b) pursuing higher degrees in History, Sociology, or Political Science.
The Mater of Arts in Turkish studies focuses on the study of Turkish language, culture, history, and society. This program is designed for students who have a strong interest in Turkish culture and want to deepen their understanding of the country and its people.
During the course of this program, students typically take courses in Turkish language, literature, history, politics, and religion. They may also have the opportunity to study abroad in Turkey to further immerse themselves in the language and culture.
