In one of the three tracks - Corporate Finance, Investments, or Financial Innovation - you will acquire a deep and systematic knowledge of the driving forces behind companies, markets, and economies. You learn to analyse and explain complex financial and business problems, including setting up and executing a scientifically sound research project based on a financial problem of your own choice. In the process, you learn how to effectively communicate and how to be critical, self-directed, and original in your approach.

Curriculum
Attain your MSc in Economics and Business with a specialized emphasis in Financial Economics, encompassing a comprehensive curriculum of 60 ECTS credits.
Depending on one’s personal preferences, the program’s courses and electives present an excellent way to get acquainted with a variety of topics that are essential for Financial Economics. The Master’s specialization consists of core courses, electives, seminars, and a Master’s thesis distributed over five blocks of eight weeks.
Core courses and electives help you to get acquainted with a wide range of topics that are essential for financial economics, and provide you with a solid background for attending the seminars. Seminars are the most important component of the Master’s specialization. For these intensive courses, active participation and commitment is a prerequisite. You are expected to present excerpts of literature or case applications, ask questions, express doubts, and share your ideas in class discussions.
The specialization allows you to select from seminars in corporate finance, financial innovation, and investments. The last block of the specialization is devoted to the Master’s thesis. The thesis is written individually under close supervision by one of our academic staff members.
