The CIDE is a research and higher education center specialized in social sciences, guided by international quality standards, and financed with public resources. The CIDE Master in Economics is a teaching program designed with international standards that seeks the solid training of specialists in the main fields of the discipline. It is part of the offer of teaching programs of the Economics Division, together with the Bachelor's Degree in Economics, the Master's Degree in Environmental Economics, and the Doctorate in Public Policy. The latter is a program taught by the CIDE Public Administration Division. The origins of the Master in Economics go back to the very creation of the CIDE, since it was its original project. The current contents of the program are the result of the experience accumulated in the training of more than forty generations of students and more than six hundred graduates. With the knowledge acquired, our graduates will be able to develop professionally in the public sector, private companies, social organizations, international institutions, and academia. Our curriculum offers students theoretical and methodological foundations, analytical tools, and substantive knowledge. It is a demanding and rigorous program, which provides a unique pedagogical experience, financial support, and educational infrastructure. With this, it makes possible that, in two years, students obtain knowledge and skills for successful professional development, which allows them to improve their environment and generate useful knowledge.

Master in Economics

The MHI is a BIENNIAL program that is designed to develop among its graduates a “global” understanding of historical processes; While other programs limit their field of study to the borders of the national state, our master's degree seeks to familiarize students with Mexican historiography and with others different from it. Likewise, it seeks to highlight the parallels and processes common to all regions, so that political, economic, social, and cultural phenomena –with all their changes and permanence– can be analyzed in the light of their Spatio-temporal context. Finally, the program offers elementary training in the tools and methods of the historian, which are diverse and complementary to those of the other social sciences. This master's degree is highly competitive insofar as it addresses a novel topic from multiple approaches and, at the same time, reinforces the general academic proposal of the CIDE (oriented towards economics, law, political science, international relations, and the public administration).

Master in International History

The program is recognized by CONACYT's National Quality Postgraduate Program with the category of a recently created program. This implies that the applicants, both national and foreign, who meet the requirements of the admission process, have a maintenance grant from CONACYT and the CIDE does not charge tuition. The master's degree lasts for four semesters. The call is BIENNIAL by the Office of Promotion and Admissions. The professors of the Division of Political Studies evaluate and select the applicants who enter the master's degree.
