The Valle de Anahuac Center for Postgraduate Studies in Orthodontics is an institution that teaches the Specialty in Orthodontics to Dental Surgeons, Graduates in Dentistry, Dentists, and Stomatologists.
This institution began its work on August 9, 1984.
We take care of the preparation of our students as specialists in the area of Orthodontics, capable of carrying out the identification, diagnosis, and treatment plan of any type of malocclusion, as well as the orthodontic and maxillofacial orthopedic treatment that is required.
In studies carried out by the SSA, it is estimated that 87 percent of the country's dentists are engaged in general practice, 13 percent with some specialty, of which only 3 percent belong to Orthodontics. This is an indication of the lack of human resources nationwide in the area of Orthodontics capable of performing treatments aimed at solving malocclusion problems.
Within the curriculum at the undergraduate level, Orthodontics occupies a very small place, focusing on the need for its study at the graduate level; Due to this, many dentists try to correct malocclusions without having the slightest idea of the principles of Orthodontics, thereby causing even greater problems, impossible to correct later.
