How is the program structured?
The program duration is 20 months, with four five-month semesters. Graduates of a four-year undergraduate program may receive course credits, potentially shortening the program. The first two semesters focus on lectures, discussions, and online activities. The third semester offers internships with leading sustainability organizations in the EU. The final semester is dedicated to the master's thesis. Completion of nine mandatory courses, three electives, and the thesis is required. Elective courses cover diverse aspects of sustainable development. Students can explore courses from other master's programs. The thesis involves research or a 30-50-page sustainable corporate transformation plan. Intensive five-day sessions take place in coastal Slovenia, Vienna, and Maribor. Students present their work, conduct research, and interact with sustainability leaders. Alma Mater encourages thesis publication.
Who are the instructors of the MA in Sustainable Development program?
At Alma Mater Europaea, our professors and lecturers are distinguished academicians, scientists, and, in many instances, industry leaders. We take pride in hosting guest lectures from CEOs of international corporations who generously share their expertise and experiences with our students. Their contributions provide unparalleled insights and practical knowledge that students find invaluable in both their professional endeavors and daily lives.
Ideal Students
To be eligible for enrollment in the MA in Sustainable Development, students must have successfully completed a minimum of a three-year undergraduate program. It is important to note that the number of available spots for admission is limited, and only a select number of students will be accepted into the program.
