Introduction
The Almirante Padilla Naval Cadet School, in its Mission and Vision, highlights the need to develop education and training processes with the highest quality. In particular, the Master's program in Naval Engineering addresses the need to train competent human resources to successfully carry out research and development projects, with the scientific foundation that allows them to make adequate decisions regarding the needs that demand the nation, especially those related to the naval, maritime and river industrial sector.
The Master's program in Naval Engineering seeks to train teachers with solid foundations in naval design with the ability to apply them in research, analysis, and solution of specific problems in the naval area, train researchers in the area of Naval Engineering, with the ability to participate in research groups, with a theoretical-practical knowledge that allows them to apply and generate new knowledge, in order to contribute to the naval, maritime and fluvial development of the nation, deepen in the areas of knowledge typical of naval engineering, especially in the ship design and structures, empowering the student with the necessary skills to understand and apply state-of-the-art technologies in order to provide practical and economic solutions to the problems demanded by society, promote the scientific-technological development of the environment and narrow the University-Company link, by carrying out research work that is still of interest to both.
