The Master aims to facilitate the practical application of the subjects taught. This is why we are currently collaborating in two different urban environments. Miranda del Castañar (Salamanca) in collaboration with the Town Hall of this locality in what concerns to protected rural environments.
The Master in Urban studies is a multi-disciplinary master degree, including courses in Planning, Political Studies, Sociology, and History. The degree is research-oriented and suited for students aiming at developing and consolidating their research skills, for careers involving research in academic, NGO, global institutions or government environments. Most lecturers involved have both a strong academic background and activist experience, and the degree focuses more specifically around issues of urban politics and governance, local democracy and justice, processes and politics of policy-making in Cities of the South.
The MSc in Sustainability and Adaptation Planning (SAP) focuses on ‘macro’ scale aspects of the field
the design of city regeneration pursued with a holistic approach based on improving the beneficiaries’ competencies necessary to be key actors within the advanced process of sustainable urban development and renewal, in terms of design, communication, building and management of the contemporary city.

A limited number of places are offered each year to suitably qualified students to follow a program of study leading to this award. This degree is for graduates seeking to extend and deepen their knowledge by undertaking an appropriate research investigation under professional supervision by UTS: Design, Architecture and Building academic staff.
The Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning is a postgraduate program established in 1975 at the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. It is currently a unit of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, oriented towards research and comprehensive and interdisciplinary training of professionals in the analysis, research and intervention in the processes of Urban and Regional Planning, Land Planning and Design of Cities and Regions in Colombia , in order to contribute in the search for solutions to the current problems of our society, in accordance with the guidelines of the Mission of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana .
