Nowadays, we are all aware that there are profound interconnections between business, society and the environment: a lasting improvement in the economic performance of firms and countries can be achieved only if people and their dignity are protected, social welfare is enhanced, natural resources are managed efficiently, the global environment is defended and business ethics are promoted. As a School that operates at the intersection between engineering, management and economics, MIP Politecnico di Milano has investigated how sustainability changes all levels of management across different industries. -

The Executive Master in Sustainability Transition Management has the aim to equip executives with operational tools and strategic knowledge in order to develop their professional careers internationally in the global sustainability arena. The Program is rooted in the Sustainable Transition framework, defined as a set of processes of change, which occur during the course of one or more generations, which fundamentally modify the structural characteristics of society: transition in the industry, energy, urban systems, agriculture, and mobility. The programs will focus on all these five pillars, thus providing participants with a systemic view of how sustainability can be translated into tangible economic, environmental, and social outcomes. The Executive Master in Sustainability Transition Management is a 12-months online program, with teaching sessions hold two evenings a week (i.e. Tuesday and Thursday. 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. CET) and on Saturday (9:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. CET). Each online session lasts about three hours and combines lectures, case discussions, team-working among participants, virtual factory tours, and sustainability transition dialogues with thought leaders in the field. Thanks to a smart formula, you will be able to combine work and private life while attending the Master's. The program will also include an in presence three-day study tour in Italy in June 2021, where participants will experience how leading companies in the automotive, packaging, renewable energy, and food industries are heading towards sustainability transition. -

Sustainability is more than just a buzzword. Raw materials are one of the fastest depleting resources on Earth. A steady and sustainable supply of many of these materials is vital for a decarbonising society, renewable energy infrastructure, electric mobility but also consumer products and electronics. The outdated make-take-use-dispose model is no longer valid in a world of finite resources. In order to deal with this challenge, three leading European universities cooperated to develop a new Erasmus+ Master programme – the International Master of Science in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resource Management (SINReM). SINReM was created to educate a new generation of professionals who can engineer technology to reinvent materials science, and gain competence, expertise and confidence in developing solutions in the sustainable use of materials. -

The Master in Sustainability Transition Management has the aim to equip participants with tools and knowledge to develop a professional career internationally in the global sustainability arena. The COVID-19 outbreak has changed our lives and our work habits. Pressurized to tackle the coming recession and high unemployment levels, governments might roll back much needed environmental regulations and monitoring systems, resulting for example in companies releasing an excess of toxic pollutants or CO2 emissions into the environment. In order to face this global challenge, it is much needed to maintain the focus on sustainability, to help transition from the tragic reality of the pandemic and all the social problems it has revealed into a much better future where individuals, companies, and institutions work together to enhance social and natural well-being. The Program is rooted in the Sustainability Transition framework, which identifies five main transition pathways in industry, energy, urban systems, agriculture, and mobility. The programs will focus on all these five pillars, thus providing participants with a systemic view of how sustainability can be translated into tangible economic, environmental, and social outcomes. The master is a hybrid program, 80% online, and 20% in presence. -
