The aims of the programme are to develop a sense of entrepreneurship, the ability to expand the network in the artistic-cultural sector, acquire the know-how to work in the entertainment industry to be able to understand functions, applications and developments, in order to prepare the students for a career in any area of the business, from production to marketing and distribution. The Master’s programme is designed to prepare global professionals who can bring a solid cultural and artistic background coupled with economic and managerial skills to the production of stage performances, with a particular focus on Europe, North America and emerging markets. Centering the development of each individual student, the curriculum features an organically structured set of complementary and interdependent modules and activities. The introductory coursework, addressing cultural policies, outreach and education, defines the objectives and goals of theatre managers. The course plan continues by providing methods and instruments – auditing, marketing, communication and PR, fundraising, project management, legislative framework – to allow professionals to produce projects that are in line with a given contemporary economic and social context. The course is completed with an internship at an internationally acclaimed performance institute. The Five Key Words OSMOSIS: "economy" and "culture" are two perfectly complementary materials, when it comes to performing arts. The main objective of the Master is to forge professionals with strong skills in both areas. UNIQUENESS: the Academy has developed a teaching method of the highest level. Students are offered the only opportunity to live to 360 ° the dynamics of the Teatro alla Scala, learning directly from the professionals who work there. Through The Danish Institute for Electronic Music (DIEM), the Academy is the only place in Denmark that offers several study programmes within electronic music. Study programmes function in concert with other music academy study programmes and the demands on students in e-music are high. The genre of electronic music includes both classical and rhythmic traditions allowing an endless space for creativity when composing music. At the same time, it builds a bridge between two latter genres at the Academy. Master of Music, Rhythmic Choir Direction (KA-RK). The candidate may use the following title: Cand. Musicae / Master of Music.The course structure has a constant focus on the Rhythmic Choir Direction and Rhythmic Choir Methods subjects. The main subject area of the degree course also includes Theory and Method of Musicology on the first semester. In addition, a series of skill-oriented subjects such as Ear Training, Piano, and Singing are taught. All of these contribute to the broad qualifications that a choir director must possess. Content and opportunities

 

The MMUS Rhythmic Music Teacher degree course at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, is a 2-year course during which students build upon the knowledge, skills, and qualifications as rhythmic musicians and teachers acquired during the BMus degree course. Taking their musicianship as a starting point, students immerse themselves in two or three supplementary main subjects in addition to the main instrument. Main Instrument Pedagogics may constitute one of these main subjects. The main subjects must correspond to at least 6 semesters of tuition, are selected from the main subject catalogue (q.v.), and incorporate a communicative aspect as well as a pedagogical course. Electives may also be added.The degree course forms the basis for student choices in relation to their future careers as musicians and teachers.
