The Master's Degree in Marine Biology: Biodiversity and Conservation by the University of La Laguna brings together in its approach the great experience of more than forty years of teaching and research in this field developed in the ULL. It will have a strong character of practical and applied training. The student will acquire a sound knowledge of marine biodiversity, particularly the Atlantic-Mediterranean environment, and will also master the tools of know-how in the field of management, conservation and conservation, research and teaching related to the environment , Biodiversity and marine resources.
The term "Biodiversity" is relatively recent and although it has become fashionable, it is nothing other than the contraction of "Biological Diversity", understanding this as the structural and functional variety of all life forms, both at the genetic and specific levels. of ecosystems....

The exceptional atmospheric conditions for the highest quality astronomical observations in the Canary Islands, together with their geographical proximity and good connection with Europe, justify the presence of the European Observatory of the Northern Hemisphere (ENO). This fact, together with the consequent concentration of professors and researchers around the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands, the Department of Astrophysics of the ULL and the Observatories, generates an ideal environment for the development of a Master in Astrophysics in which direct contact with prestigious professionals supposes an exceptional added value. The Master has been designed based on a wide and rigorous offer of subjects, options and itineraries that are concreted in three specialties: "Specialty in Theory and Computation", "Specialty in Observation and Instrumentation" and "Structure of Matter"....
This master has a wide range of subjects aimed at research oriented towards the needs of technology centers and the R + D + i departments of companies with regard to Math
In the last 25 years, mathematical research in Spain has experienced a spectacular development, which has led it to occupy a place among the top ten in the world. Mathematicians from the six universities participating in the master's degree contribute to this achievement. Already in the UPV / EHU, in the last Ranking of Shanghai of 2012, Mathematics occupy a place among the 100 and 150 best universities in the world. Thus, Mathematics play a very prominent role in the Spanish scientific system. To maintain or improve these positions, it is necessary to train new doctors, incorporate new researchers, and the first step after the Degree is necessarily a Master's in Mathematics with a research component. This master's degree responds to this manifest need of six universities, since it has subjects oriented to start a scientific career in different branches of Mathematics....

Remote sensing techniques and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are essential to study the Earth and manage its resources. This central role is not only present in the academic world but we perceive it in multiple fields. Indeed, we found signs of increased presence and interest in areas such as the (new and improved satellite Earth observation, aerial vehicles or UAVs, European boost to GPS systems like Galileo, etc.) tools, geographic information (the success of Google Earth or Google Maps, the quality excellent ICC mapping, etc.), its metadata (increased presence and consolidation of standards), cataloging Special data Infrastructures (IDEC, IDEE, etc.) or software (such as the current gratuity of Miramon programms for administrations and students that has driven the Generalitat de Catalunya and the different alternatives of free software)....

Master in Brain and Cognition
One of the greatest challenges in science is to explain the human mind. Thanks to the advent of revolutionary brain research methods, great progress in behavioural research techniques and the incredible inventiveness of many researchers, cognitive and neural sciences are finding ways to better approach this problem. The master's programme in Brain and Cognition will guide students through the latest and most exciting findings brought about by the interaction between cognitive research and brain research, furnishing them with the theoretical and practical means to actively participate in this exciting enterprise.
The core of the master's programme is composed of the research groups at UPF's Center for Brain and Cognition (CBC). These groups are directed by renowned scientists in areas such as computational neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, psycholinguistics, vision, multisensory perception, human development and comparative cognition. Students will thus be exposed to the ongoing research projects at the CBC and will be integrated into one of its main research lines, where they will conduct original research for their final project....

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
This puts you in master knowledge and skills that will allow you to study spatial planning and environmental management and deepen in all fields that explore the relationship between society and territory.
Starting from own integrative approach to geography, these studies enable you to participate in projects related to land use planning and environmental management, applied to different environments and geographical scales: urban and rural; coastal areas, inland or mountain areas.
One of the strengths of the program are field trips, with which you can elaborate on the ground in the areas of the master.
Also, the training acquired will help you master the different strategies and guidelines for local and regional development and utilization of land resources available, from an ethical, responsible and sustainable perspective....

The TCCM Master is meant to prepare experts in using and developing molecular sciences computational techniques to either work with innovative pharmaceutical.
Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (TCCM) play a key role in the development of modern chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, physics and material science. This has motivated six Universities leaders in the key disciplines of the field to set a consortium and offer a joint TCCM Master course. The creation of this joint Master has two main objectives: * establish a European standard for Master training; * promote the international mobility of Master studentsin the TCCM field. This idea has successfully attracted other 41 European higher education Institutions which have decided to join the TCCM Master consortium and has convinced the European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) to support the initiative. The TCCM Master is meant to prepare experts in using and developing molecular sciences computational techniques to either work with innovative pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and new-materials industries or to follow future doctoral studies in Chemistry, Physics, Life or Material Sciences. It is articulated in 120 ECTS credits and can be accessed by students having a Bachelor in Chemistry, in Physics or in Material Science. Other scientific bachelors can also be accepted (provided that the student integrates his/her preparation as recommended by the local Tutor). In the first year (M1), 12 ECTS credits are devoted to a levelling course, 3 to the improvement of the student's command of a European language and 30 to compulsory courses in Mathematics, Statistical Mechanics, Molecular Quantum Mechanics, Programming and Numerical Methods; Group Theory; Reaction Dynamics and Spectroscopy delivered locally in the official language chosen by the Participating Institution. The...
