Introduction To engage in the practice of law with sufficient guarantees, it is necessary that the graduate degree or acquire the practical knowledge which could not access during college and know apply them properly and improve his skills as a lawyer and also their level of languages. The mechanics of practical learning can not be acquired in centers that, deep down, go back to school or university programs delve into some of its members disciplines. Our approach is based on the idea that basic education must start where law is practiced, that is, in law firms and legal departments of more reputable company. Based on these simple and yet so novel, and the need to integrate with adequate safeguards for new graduates or graduates of the increasingly demanding labor market principles, the ISDE creates the Master program in International Legal Practice GOALS After more than 50 years in the practice of law, our experience has shown that recent graduates and graduates lack a sufficiently strong basis to start in the practice of law. To address this lack of training graduates and the need for law firms and legal departments to incorporate company lawyers with practical training required to exercise, ISDE created the Master in International Legal Practice with the aim that by forming which offers students both in the first phase of the master (collective) and the second phase (practices) to provide: - knowledge of legal practice in different areas of international law - knowledge of advocacy skills - language skills - mechanics legal reasoning, that it can simultaneously and gradually aim for specialization So once the student completes the Master be incorporated into the legal labor market with maximum guarantees. Methodology The ISDE has created a system of practical and effective teaching, the fruit of several years of work, consisting of learning based on real cases, on the same basis and evolution using the lawyer in an office. Therefore, the training takes place both in academic offices and law firms themselves. The system, therefore, is not to study the substantive law, not to examine claims to determine his single invocation, but what is taught is just to apply the law, to detect and isolate the facts that are legally sensitive, to reason before the issues raised by the customer, which solution should be given and how to write or make specific demands. But this is only a first cycle, since, after completion of this learning process, all students have the opportunity to join fully recognized law firms and legal departments of national and international business. For the ISDE legal practice is not to simulate fictitious cases, but to live the legal reality, for what has the best group of lawyers to merge into a single computer to match the method of teaching exposed. Structure The International Master in Advocacy Program is divided into two phases: the first phase (collective) that lasts from October to March in the different areas of law from a practical perspective and the second phase (practical) having studied place from March to July and develops in law firms and legal departments of more reputable company, where students have the opportunity to practice international law. Location and schedule This Master is developed in two distinct phases: - The first phase (October to March) takes place in the Academic ISDE headquarters in Barcelona. In this phase, students attend class in time from 16h to 20h Monday through Thursday. - The second phase (March to July) will be held at the headquarters of the firm or company assigned to carry out the practices, following the schedule set by them. Top Masters Programs in Law and Regulations in Spain. We at ISDE, whose pioneering commitment to the integration of students in law firms inspired the creation of the new Masters in Admission to the Practice of Law, believe that although the programme provides the practical training essential for the practice of the profession, there are two aspects that it does not fully cover : specialisation and training for the practice of international law. Our proven experience in the field prompted us to consider the introduction of a programme that would complete the Masters in Admission to the Practice of Law, which we provide in conjunction with the prestigious Carlos III University of Madrid. The formula for achieving this goal for an institution of the calibre of ISDE is as simple as it is essential: the Masters in Admission to the Practice of Law is now provided together with the best private Masters degrees, given that the specialist programmes that ISDE has been offering for years have earned it a place in the most important Spanish and international rankings. The result is a masters that is unique in the sector, and which has the added benefit of a second practical training stage during which the student will become a real member of the “ecosystem” of a law firm, not a mere observer. The combination of two highly prestigious Masters programmes, together with the specialisation and international experience that leading law firms require today will give graduates a competitive advantage when seeking employment in the legal market. Objectives The objective of this double Masters degree is to prepare students to meet the requirements of major law firms today. This means providing specialised training geared towards the practice of international law. Globalisation had had an undeniable impact on the field of law and also on the practice of law.The training of a top lawyer should take account of the needs underlying this phenomenon, which tends to bring together the different known legal systems through the approximation of the different legal institutions. The progressive publification of law is giving rise to increasing legal complexity. This, in turn, creates the need for specialists capable of meeting the demands of customers in a timely manner. And this specialisation must come about through appropriate training in the fundamentals of law and a comprehensive overview thereof. Accordingly, students choosing to pursue a double Masters degree will obtain a double benefit: On the one hand, completion of the best Masters in Admission to the Practice of Law, which ISDE offers in conjunction with the prestigious Carlos III University of Madrid. This ensures that students obtain an in-depth understanding of the practical knowledge required by the new admissions system and have a greater likelihood of passing the national examination for admission to the profession. On the other hand, our specialised international Masters programmes, where the student will have the opportunity to be part of a small group comprised of national and foreign students and professors, is designed to prepare students for entry into their choice of specialisation. In this sense, the programme was born with a clear objective: to transmit a mechanism of legal reasoning and, consequently, preparation in all areas of legal practice, with the aim of gradually aspiring to specialisation. Moreover, the student will also receive instruction in international relations and foreign trade, so necessary nowadays on account of the present-day world economic system. Admission and acceptance profile: The basic requirement for admission to the double masters is to have obtained, or to be in the process of obtaining, prior to the commencement of the course, a Bachelor of Law degree, a BA in Law or other BA degree attesting that the applicant has the skills laid down in Article 3.2 of the regulation implementing the Spanish Law on Admission to the Practice of Law. Furthermore, in accordance with the provisions of the university regulation, applications will also be considered from foreign students with degrees to accredit the skills set out in Article 3 of the aforementioned Law. Native Spanish-speakers will be required to have a good command of spoken and written English and non-Spanish speaking applicants will have to demonstrate that their knowledge of spoken and written Spanish is at least equivalent to the B2 DELE level (Diploma de Español como lengua extranjera) awarded by the Instituto Cervantes. Applicants with basic language skills, but which do not meet the minimum levels required may be provisionally accepted on condition that they take an in- tensive course in the relevant language to achieve the minimum required level. Foreign students should bear in mind that the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Spain has not yet taken a decision as to their possible participation in the en- trance examination and the practice of the profession in Spain. Applications may be sent electronically or by ordinary mail. Applications and the required documentation should be sent to the email or postal address of ISDE's Admissions Department. The decision to admit an applicant rests with the Masters Academic Committee. [-]
