The Graduate Program in Translation began to offer its courses, as an experimental program, in 1970. The Academic Senate of the Campus approved the creation report in 1972. In 1974, upon receiving the certification of the University Board, the PGT was officially incorporated into the programs that offer a master's degree in the Faculty of Humanities.
