The MA/Structured PhD in Applied Linguistics aims to provide a broad-based course of study in language description (language systems: grammar, lexis and phonology), theories of Applied Linguistics, theories of Second Language Acquisition, frameworks for the study of discourse, as well as specialist research skills for the empirical analysis of language in context. One of the principles we are bearing in mind when setting up the Distance program is to keep it as close to the On-Campus program as possible, not only its content and teaching methods but also the way of assessing students. [+]
From the academic year 2014-2015 onwards, the Master of Statistics has been gradually offered as Distance Learning (DL) Program, next to and in parallel with the on-campus program.
Enrolling for the DL Program means that as a student you will take the program from a distance, i.e. from home, workplace or virtually any place with access to the internet.
The on- and off-campus program are offered in parallel, synchronized as far as practically feasible, and with maximal flexibility. It will be possible to switch between the on-campus and off-campus programs.
The content and learning outcomes within and across courses are identical.
