Based on the requirements of professional experience in the automotive industry, especially on level and scope of knowledge, is the goal of this field steadily to educate graduates with knowledge of the structures of advanced hardware and software solutions for automotive electronic systems. There are also strong requirements for knowledge of the specific software tools used in the development of these systems. Specific courses are thus designed with regard to the necessary knowledge and professional experience requirements. The education is designed as a project oriented, which means that students will be in study groups to solve a specific tasks defined by industry partners. Projects in the master's program will also take place in the partner’s workplaces. In particular, we talk about RD and testing departments.

The aim of the study program Quality Management and Control of Industrial Systems is to educate middle and top managers of manufacturing companies, design, research, development and other specialized institutions, especially for the industrial sphere of metallurgy and mechanical engineering, in relation to the automotive industry. The study is based on a balanced synergistic combination of quality management knowledge, managerial and economic knowledge and knowledge of modern control, information and communication technologies. Graduates of the study program will find employment as quality managers or quality engineers, as specialists in the field of process control using progressive control, information and communication technologies, and in a number of management functions at various levels of organization management.

Mechanical engineering technology program graduates gain theoretical knowledge in the field of new manufacturing technology including comprehensive knowledge of experimental and numerical methods of scientific research in the field of manufacturing technologies and systems, manufacturing processes including auxiliary and service processes. Students prove gained level by making and defence of diploma thesis.

You will understand the basics of engineering technology, learn to design production systems and organize pre-production and production processes. In addition, we will prepare you for the work of an operations manager who is able to make independent and responsible decisions. Thanks to the study you will also gain knowledge regarding the assessment of production quality, product certification, demonstration of conformity and accounting. You will master the fundamentals of both general and business economics. You can be used in engineering and other industries in pre-production, development or research. You will not be lost as a production system designer, technologist, project manager or inspection and quality expert. In the financial world, you will succeed as a specialist in assessing the level of technology projects.

The study program is aimed at educating specialists for modern metallurgy and engineering. Initially, basic common theoretical courses are taught, suitably complemented by courses in, for example, materials science, management and quality management. The study program also covers the subjects of iron and steel production, foundry and bulk forming. The study program is characterized by the close interconnection of the pedagogical process with the often unique experimental basis and the use of computer technology in process modeling.

As a graduate of the master's study program Machine and Process Control, you will gain the knowledge necessary for the design of technological process control and production lines. Knowledge of automatic control, applied mechanics, electronics, microprocessor technology and signal processing will allow you to optimize the design of control algorithms for the technological process.

The program is the continuation to the Bachelor's degree programs in Finance, Accounting and Taxation, Economics and Management, Marketing and other programs of economic orientation. Candidates who have completed at least a bachelor degree program and demonstrated knowledge of English language can apply. The program is prepared as a two-year course. It is completed by the state examination and defense of the thesis. Successful graduates are awarded the master title. After completing the program, it is possible to continue in the doctoral degree study at the Faculty of Economics, VŠB-TU Ostrava or other programs of economic orientation.

This Master's study program is a continuation of the bachelor study program “Energetics and Environments”. Nevertheless, graduates of other technical programs and fields, both from VŠB-TUO and other universities, also apply for this program.

Master degree in International Economic Relations offers a prestigious postgraduate study focused mainly on the international dimension of economic theory and economic relations, enabling the graduates of this specialization to orientate in economic affairs on an international scale and to find practical application not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. In addition to advanced knowledge of economic theory, students focus on issues related to international aspects of economic development, trade, international security, EU external economic relations, and project management at regional, European and international level. Students can further broaden their knowledge through internships at foreign universities or gain work experience at home and abroad (e.g. in international organizations, European Union institutions, or representative offices of the Czech Republic abroad).

Applicants will be admitted to the study program in full-time study at the master's follow-up study. There is no exam in the admission procedure. Graduates of bachelor study programs of similar specialization may be admitted to study. Assessing the content of previous courses and comparing them with the required basics is done by the program guarantor based on a comparison of curriculum subjects and teaching ranges.

The two-year master's program emphasizes the coordination of construction processes in the BIM information environment within the digitization of construction. In the admission procedure for the follow-up study program, a written examination is held, which is waived by the applicant who completed the bachelor's study program at FAST VŠB-TUO in a related specialization with VSP ≥ 77.00 points.

Within the framework of the follow-up Master's degree program Civil Engineering - Transport Constructions, the students are trained to apply in the field of transport structures in a wide range of activities in the design, construction, maintenance, and administration of transport structures and constructions (roads, motorways, bridges, urban roads, crossroads, stations and sidings, public transport facilities, etc.).

The field of Urban Engineering hides the issue of decision-making about the placement of buildings and water supply, electricity, gas, drainage, etc. To solve these problems, it is necessary to know all technical and non-technical possibilities in the territory, composition and population needs, and legislation.

Evaluation of transport processes in the rock environment, including thermal processes associated with geothermal heat exchangers
