The Master of Aviation Science degree program is designed for aviation professionals as it offers a rigorous, broad-based curriculum to help students gain mastery of the aviation field. Students will complete technical aviation coursework that will include the intensive analysis of airway transportation systems, airport operations, aerospace communication systems, aerospace logistics, aircraft simulation, advanced crew resource management procedures, aerospace systems safety, and advanced security and safety program management as part of their masters in aviation studies. Students of the master's in aviation degree will apply the knowledge and skills learned throughout the program by completing a required Capstone Project in their last academic term. The Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics prepares students for professional positions in industry, government, and academia by offering a comprehensive program of undergraduate and graduate teaching and research. In this broad program, students have the opportunity to learn and integrate multiple engineering disciplines. The program emphasizes structural, aerodynamic, guidance and control, and propulsion problems of aircraft and spacecraft. Courses in the teaching program lead to the degrees of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Engineer, and Doctor of Philosophy. Undergraduates and doctoral students in other departments may also elect a minor in Aeronautics and Astronautics. -
