The projects in the first year of the program focus on large-scale urban design, mixed-use and the detailed design of high-rise buildings. These design projects emphasise creative, social, cultural and ecological issues relating to urbanism and the built environment. The final year of the program provides you with the opportunity to develop their own elective project over the course of the year, applying in-depth research and resolution to a singular design problem. Within a creative and innovative learning environment the final exhibited project explores the complexities of making buildings for the future of the built environment. The comprehensive way that each stage of the architectural design process is articulated, critiqued and developed provides you with a portfolio of work that reflects the making of buildings in the real world.
