The Master of Design (Transitional Environments Design) aims to develop a high level of intellectual and practical mastery of the analysis and design of diverse rural and urban environments in the region, with broader implications for global contexts.

The Master of Science in Urban Design and Transport (MScUDT) is a unique inter-disciplinary Programme that links urban design and transport studies, marrying design thinking with evidence-based transport analysis techniques to develop a more effective and balanced placemaking approach to cities. Traditional urban design focuses on the built environment and placemaking, largely overlooking the social, economic, and environmental dynamics of urban mobilities and access. In contrast, transport studies focus on operations and management of transport systems, tending to ignore the impact of infrastructures on the urban experience, the urban qualities, mobilities equality and its effects on access to opportunities and the enjoyment of places.

The Master of Science in Urban Analytics (MSc(Urban Analytics)) is offered as a one-year full-time programme. The MSc(Urban Analytics) programme is therefore designed to train and upskill students and professionals able to apply novel urban science and analytics in planning and managing the development of cities.

The Master of Architecture (Design) [(MArch (Design)) is a three-year full-time programme offered by the Department of Architecture. Built on the existing two-year UGC-funded MArch curriculum, the three-year MArch(Design) offers a path for qualified students from undergraduate programmes outside of architecture to pursue an architectural education. The MArch(Design) operates on a self-funding model.

The Master of Urban Studies and Housing Management (formerly Master of Housing Management) is an interdisciplinary programme offered by the Department of Urban Planning and Design (DUPAD). The MUS&HM degree programme has two streams of study, the Urban Studies Stream and the Housing Management (Professional) Stream. The Housing Management (Professional) Stream involves two years of part-time study or one whole year of full-time study. The Urban Studies Stream involves one whole year of full-time study. The two streams are differentiated by the amount of coursework required and professional accreditation received.

The programme provides students with the fundamental design knowledge and skills for professional practice in landscape architecture. Students engage in a wide range of studies covering the history of the discipline, contemporary theories in landscape architecture, biophysical systems, landscape materials and their technologies, and landscape design.
