Justification and Purpose This Programme allows students to deepen their previous education in economics. It also envisages to explore the emerging fields of the third sector, sustainability of Non-Profit Organisations, as well as more specific realities of Economic Science, in particular, Tourism Economics, the Economics of Sports and Welfare Economics, and thus prepare students to conduct scientific research. Hence, it unfolds a double objective: Strengthen the EEG advanced academic offer in innovative domains of Economics; Offer advanced training in the field of the Social Economics. It is a three-semester-long programme which comprises 100 ECTS; the two first semester is dedicated to coursework. Coursework (first year) aims at strengthening the students’ soft skills and endowing students with a thorough knowledge of Economics Science applied to the Third Sector – through course units as diverse as the Economics of Tourism, the Economics of Institutions, or Multiculturalism, Citizenship and Social Inclusion.
