The purpose of the University Master's Degree in Research in Sports Sciences is to provide students with an advanced vision of what research in sports involves, emphasizing a multidisciplinary and systemic approach that favors the development of the conceptual and procedural tools necessary to research in high performance sports and in the field of physical activities for health.
Through this Master, both the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the Faculty of Sports Sciences, intend to adapt their training offer to the needs derived from our integration into the European Higher Education Area, through the design of an official qualification that will enjoy full recognition in all the Member States of the European Union and characterized by the possibility it grants to students to adapt their training according to their professional or research orientation.Training objectivesTo train competent students and develop in them the will and the creative spirit necessary to be able to undertake quality research, which allows them to advance in Third Cycle studies, as well as favor the completion of an original doctoral work in one of the two proposed itineraries in the Master.
To put before the student the most current and advanced knowledge in the field of Physical Activity oriented to Health and Sports Performance, both from a conceptual and applied point of view.CompetenciesThe MUICD applies the knowledge related to Sports Sciences applying the scientific research methodology, adapting it to the social changes that derive from the innovation processes in the specific field and at the international level. It aims to contribute, through research, to broadening horizons in the field of study of physical activity for health and sports performance, offering the findings for possible publication referenced at the national and international level. At the same time, it aims for students to be able to carry out a critical analysis on the development and presentation of new and complex ideas in the field of study of physical activity for health and sports performance, promoting the mutual exchange of knowledge with others. national and international colleagues, and with society in general.
