Master's Scholarship: see relevant information here .AboutThe introduction of new technologies is essential for the progress of societies. Undoubtedly, we are currently in an era of successive technological changes and in progressive acceleration that are modifying the ways of life in technologically advanced societies.
Most of the current devices, products, machines, processes and systems require the use of technologies such as the use of sensors, actuators, controllers, microprocessors, optics, software, communications, etc. This implies that current device and system design technology requires the integration of optical, mechanical and electronic parts. There are countless examples in this regard, from consumer items (photographic and video cameras, telephony, television, projectors, barcode readers, printers, information recording systems, etc.) and in industrial sectors and scientific equipment ( aviation and aerospace, machine tools, robotic systems, industrial lasers, medical instrumentation, telescopes, "remote sensing", fibre optic communication systems, advanced security systems, AFM and confocal microscopes, etc.).
It is in this branch of knowledge (Sciences) where graduates in CC. Physics as well as other related degrees can contribute with a significant contribution, and this is where the Master in New Electronic and Photonic Technologies (MNTEF) is framed, which has an applied nature and is aimed at a wide audience that wishes to improve their knowledge in the field of the technological and / or scientific applications of electronics and photonics.

goalsThe main objective of this University Master's Degree is to offer graduates in Physical Sciences and other related degrees solid training for their incorporation into the European technological industrial fabric. The specific objectives are:Prepare professionals for work in the technological areas related to Physics, both in research and development and in production, through training in specific competences in the areas of instrumentation, photonics, electronics, microsystems and nanotechnology, and related transversal competences with professional work.
To offer graduate students highly professional training that allows them better access to the new technology market, in great demand both locally and internationally.
Offer active professionals a way to update and deepen their knowledge in the most relevant aspects of electronics and photonics.
Laying the foundations for their integration in the lines of work in the areas of Computer Architecture and Automation, Electronics and Optics in students interested in completing a doctoral thesis.
Promote the entrepreneurial spirit, as well as research and technological development.RecipientsThis University Master's Degree seeks to offer graduates in Physical Sciences and other related degrees solid training for their incorporation into the labour market in technology companies in the area of Electronics and / or Photonics. To take the University Master's Degree, it will be necessary to meet one of these requirements:Be in possession of an official Spanish university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Bachelor's, Engineer's or Architect's degree, or Diploma or Technical Engineer's degree).
Be in possession of a degree issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and which empowers in the country of issuance to access the Master's degree courses.
The graduates of educational systems outside the EHEA may study the University Master's Degree without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by this University that these studies accredit a level of training equivalent to the official Spanish university degrees and that they empower, in the country that issued the title, to access postgraduate studies.
Be studying during the current academic year an official university degree and be in a position to accredit the obtaining of said title in the official term, before the beginning of the academic year.Said university degree must contain previous knowledge of Optics, Electronics and Automatic Control with a level similar to that acquired in the Degree in Physics.Admission requirements for mastersNon-enabling university mastersBe in possession of any of the following titles:Spanish official university degree .
Title issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and empowering in the country of issue for access to Master's education.
Title of educational systems outside the EHEA that empowers in the country of issuance for access to Master's education, homologated or declared equivalent to the degree and academic level of Degree or Degree by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training . In case of lacking the mentioned homologation or equivalency, it will be necessary to have authorization or access permission granted by this University.
Or be carrying out studies leading to the obtaining of any of the previous degrees during the course in which the pre-registration is carried out and be in a position to prove the obtaining of the same before the date established in the corresponding call (see href = "https: //www.ucm.es/requisitos-de-admision-a-masteres ).
In addition, students from foreign educational systems, whose mother tongue is different from Spanish, must prove level B2 of the Spanish language (or higher) .
