The McGill Master of Management in Finance (MMF) degree is a pre-experience, twelve to sixteen month specialized program in finance. Our MMF prepares you for a career in finance through a comprehensive curriculum that integrates advanced financial concepts and quantitative methods with real-world business practices.
Designed for recent graduates with a Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Economics, Arts or Commerce degree, you'll have proven quantitative skills with an aim to work in the finance industry or in the finance function of a business.

Gain real-life business experience
The Master of Management in Finance program structure consists of twelve courses (36 credits) delivered over six modules. As well as the Applied Finance Project (9 Credits), a crucial part of the program that gives you the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience and access key professional networks. Through the Applied Finance Project you’ll:
join Desautels Capital Management (DCM) as analysts
attend professional seminars given by professionals from various industries, e.g. hedge funds, pension funds, tax/legal accountants, etc., that provide unique networking opportunities
fulfil a final project that allows you to think independently and creatively about an important financial topic, apply your quantitative skills, and showcase your marketable skillsets in an area of your interest.
As an MMF student, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of perspectives through the diversity of your cohort. Selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants, your classmates will hold degrees in business, economics, commerce, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and other related disciplines from universities around the world. How to apply
Our MMF degree is designed for high-achieving, ambitious students interested in furthering a career in finance. Our program is a pre-experience program, meaning no prior work experience is required. You’ll be eligible for our program if you meet the following adissions criteria:
a bachelor's degree and proven quantitative skills or in the final year of their bachelor’s degree studies. (Admission would be conditional upon obtaining their bachelor’s degree prior to the start of the program.)
students with a three-year bachelor's degree from an international university are also eligible to apply and can determine the equivalency of their degrees.
completion of the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Applicants with a graduate or undergraduate degree from a recognized Canadian institution are not required to submit a GMAT or GRE score.
a TOEFL or IELTS if you completed your undergraduate degree in a university where English was not the main language of instruction.
