Introduction
The program's purpose is to train experimentalists/behaviourists to manage an experimental project from its conception to its practical implementation, whether in the laboratory or the field.
Students will be associated with experimental projects and will be invited to carry out their projects. The training is both theoretical and practical.
The training's main objective is to train experts in surveys and laboratory and field experiments in the humanities and social sciences by training students in various data collection techniques, particularly experimental data: laboratory and lab-in-the-field.
Students learn to design and program the experiments, to carry out the handover, and to analyze the data to put them in perspective with existing knowledge.
Particular attention is paid to support public decision-making. The student is thus able to test the effectiveness of various instruments and measures of public policies within the framework of a laboratory or field experiment, to analyze the data of the experiment, and to propose a behavioural model allowing to understand and to extrapolate the effects of these policies (via questions of decision-making, mental and social representations, etc.). Indeed, mastering and strengthening the effectiveness of public policies presupposes being able to carry out rigorous and precise evaluation work at each stage of the decision-making process and public action and understand the interaction of these policies with behaviour. And decisions of individuals and groups of individuals.
